We're here at Edmunds HQ gearing up for the 2010 North American International Auto Show. But before we pack our bags for Detroit, here are some of the cars to look for at next week's show.
Cadillac will debut the concept version of its new flagship at Detroit, the XTS sedan. It'll also be showing off its CTS-V Coupe, which packs the sedan's 556-horsepower V8 into a smaller and lighter two-door body.
The 2011 Mustang GT doesn't quite have the power of that CTS-V Coupe, but it does resurrect the Mustang's famous 5.0 displacement. And really, 512 horses ain't bad.
It's not all big cars and bigger horsepower at this year's Detroit show. BMW will be showing off its Concept ActiveE, or rather, its electric 1 Series.
Fiat will make its first appearance in Detroit since before I was born. Chrysler's new owner will showcase its battery electric 500 EV, along with the rest of the Cinquecento lineup. And unlike the LA show, Ferrari will be making an appearance along with its new 458 Italia.
Other noteworthy cars in Detroit will be the Audi A8, Bentley Mulsanne, the six-cylinder BMW 7 Series, a battery electric Volvo C30 and a new Toyota hybrid concept.
Check back next week at Edmunds Inside Line for full coverage of the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.

Tesla, your concept is great. I believe, that this is the car of the now, future. Now that we have the technology, lets put it to use, or are you going to let the oil company's put it on the shelf. Lets get it together, how about, a simple version, that can be understood by the common man. What about a thought of producing a people's car. Like Henry Ford, put a car in every ones driveway. A simple basic chassis, one that could accept different body styles. Per-say, a skate board chassis, ready to go,with the option of a bolt on shell, made of carbon fiber, or, fiber glass, with doors ,windshield, and lights. I personally would like to have a molded car body of a 1968 camaro,or a 1967 short bed pick up, truck model. These car body's could be out sourced, lending more of your energy towards mass production of your chassis and drive system;which would be a fully functioning automobile, less the car body. Please, give this some consideration, as I and many others are seeing this country flowing down the tubes. Lets spark some new innovation in the way cars are built and bought,I feel that this innovation would give this country a leg up towards becoming a world leader in the automotive industry
