    Just the Facts:
    • Guitar heroes will display their cars at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
    • Rock icons in attendance: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons.
    • Also on display will be 20 cars celebrated in song including "Mustang Sally."

GOODWOOD, England — The annual Goodwood Festival of Speed will have a rock-and-roll sub-theme — Cars, Stars and Guitars — as part of the July 2-4 festivities.

British rock icons Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck will be joined by ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and the Fabulous Thunderbirds' Jimmie Vaughan, along with their custom cars and signature guitars.

Adds the wishful organizer: "It is hoped that the guitarists themselves will strike up and play live at the event, too, alongside their cars."

Also on display in the Cricket Pitch will be 20 cars celebrated in song, from Wilson Pickett's "Mustang Sally" to "Little Red Corvette" by Prince. Live bands will perform versions of the various car tunes over the weekend.
