- Arash Faroud will finally unveil his dream car at the MPH show in November.
- The price tag on 550-horsepower Corvette-powered AF10 is expected to be $972,000.
- The AF10 has been four years in the making.
LONDON — Amid outrageous claims, numerous delays and a breathtaking jump in the projected price, the much-ballyhooed Arash AF10 supercar will finally make its public debut in early November at MPH: The Prestige & Performance Motor Show at Earls Court.
When we last wrote about Arash Faroud's dream car , the plan was to use an enhanced 550-horsepower version of GM's 7.0-liter LS7 V8 from the Corvette Z06 and price the vehicle starting at $530,000.
The power plant hasn't changed, but the price certainly has: Arash Motor Company now is projecting a sticker of $972,000.
Says Faroud: "The AF10 has been four years in the making, and we feel it is now time to introduce it to the world."
Inside Line says: Still no word on when Arash expects to deliver the first of a planned production run of 70 cars. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

It looks incredibly derivative. I suppose there's only so many ways you can go to achieve supercar aerodynamics, but the other guys seem to be able to reinvent the styling and still achieve excellent aerodynamics. Why couldn't we here? I guess they couldn't get an inspired designer.
For $972K, I'd hope this thing would be the fastest out there. Part of the price is exclusivity as well, being that there will be only 70, but even then, it's kind of ugly, and not in a performance-above-all-else way that could be admirable? And unless they keep the weight WAY down, there's no way 550hp is going to scoot this car faster than the new 700+ hp Lamborghini Jota will achieve at about a third of the price.
So, hmmmm, why buy this car?

Looking nice, enzo nice, Ford GT, Lotus Evora....the back end is all Ferrari!...That price tag is not serious, OR it better smoke all the exotic cars out there save for Bugatti V; the king of strait line performance for now.

Umm yeah just the guys name alone makes me want to take some Benadryl, the car lookes like you just clipped a bunch pf pictures of different cars and glued them all toghether. I would rather buy a nice house with that much money, or a Ultimate Aero SSC that actually runs and only costs like 600,000.

it's hideous. it better blow me when i drive it for that price and it just doesnt really persuade you to not buy the italia or the porsche hybrid that hasn't come out yet i forget the number
agnh i see you've put some thought into the dream team for a mil
I don't understand why you have 2 beamers 2 porsches and no ferraris at alllll
i would scrap the boxster and benz for a nice F430
but thats just me, I think getting a Benz is on par with getting a corvette

It almost looks like a Ferrari Enzo with a Lotus Evora front end.

$972k? Seriously? Do we even need to start making lists of the "dream car garage" you could assemble for that price?
I guess it's inevitable.
Lambo Gallardo 560-4 $300k
Porsche 997 coupe 2S $95k
Porsche Boxster S $65k
MB CL63 $140k
BMW M3 coupe $70k
BMW Alpina B7 $120k
Aston Martin Vantage V12 $150k

Ferrari-esque cockpit, Lotus/McLaren front fascia, and Pagani-like rear taillights and body work. Can't wait to read the performance numbers..
