GRAYSLAKE, Illinois — Legendary Dodge dealer and tuning master Mr. Norm has upped the ante for the 2008 SEMA Show with a pair of modified Challengers that combine for a total of 1,800 horsepower.
Called the Super Challenger and Super Cuda, the vehicles are both fashioned with a Kenne Bell supercharger with intercooler and Corsa Performance cat-back dual exhaust that brings total output for the 6.1-liter Hemi V8 to 900 horses.
The Super Challenger features huge 22-inch Rodtana forged wheels, a Hotchkis suspension kit, a Mopar "Six Pack" hood and an SSBC eight-piston brake package. Hurst Customs provides a new front spoiler and side scoops that help complete the aggressive new package.
Mr. Norm went with a black paint scheme with red stripes for the Challenger, and the interior will feature custom Katzkin leather trim, special door sills and a Hurst pistol-grip shifter.
The Super Cuda gets the same treatment as the Super Challenger, although the exterior has been revamped to look like one of the legendary AAR 'Cudas from 1970. The outside will include modern interpretations of the classic 'Cuda grille and tail panel, which work hand in hand with the orange body and satin black strobe stripes to create a successful throwback look.
Inside Line says: Add these two to the list of sweet Dodge Challengers set to turn heads at the 2008 SEMA show. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
