    Cadillac ATS
    • 2013 Cadillac ATS: Cadillac's new entry-level new small sedan will slot in below the current CTS in terms of size and price. The ATS, built upon an "all-new Cadillac-specific RWD-AWD architecture", will begin production this summer in Lansing, alongside the CTS and is expected to target the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
    • 2014 Cadillac ATS: Following close on the heels of the ATS sedan will be an ATS coupe. A planned convertible body style has reportedly been scrapped, though more recently, officials have said the automaker may build a roadster similar to the Mercedes-Benz SLK.
    • 2015 Cadillac ATS: A wagon version of the ATS will eventually round out the lineup.

    Cadillac CTS
    • 2014 Cadillac CTS: The CTS will be due for a redesign in 2014, and indeed spy photographers have already spotted camouflaged prototypes. With the ATS in place as Cadillac's entry-level luxury car, look for the next CTS to move up-market, both in its design and amenities to better compete with the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

    Cadillac ELR
    • 2014 Cadillac ELR: Cadillac is going ahead with a production version of the Converj, now renamed the ELR, and it's expected to use an updated version of the gas/electric hybrid drivetrain from the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid.

    Cadillac Escalade
    • 2014 Cadillac Escalade: Look for a fully redesigned Cadillac Escalade to arrive sometime in 2013 for the 2014 model year. Although Cadillac considered switching to a crossover-type platform, the current plans call for another truck-based SUV with traditional body-on-frame construction.

    Cadillac SRX
    • 2013 Cadillac SRX: Look for a midcycle refresh of the SRX for the 2013 model year.

    Cadillac XTS
    • 2013 Cadillac XTS: This large sedan that's due out sometime in 2012 will replace both the DTS and STS when it arrives. Although the XTS will launch with a direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, a concept version was shown at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show with a V6 hybrid drivetrain, so a future hybrid model is a possibility. In addition to offering a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the XTS will be the first Cadillac model to get the new CUE infotainment interface.

I think that getting rid of the Northstar V8 was the worst thing Caddy could have done. With the new technology thats out there, they could've made vast improvements to its efficiency. I have driven a CTS 3.6 DI and I must say that it DID NOT throw me back in my seat the way my 95 DeVille Concours did when I floored it. Booo!

Does nobody remember the Cadillac Sixteen? Honestly, that car was probably one of the best and most entertaining concept cars of the first decade.

Although the engine and transmission were completely absurd, the car itself was so magnificently, wonderfully, iconically, and purely American.

It was big. The proportions were oh so pleasing to the eye. The interior was just plain luxuriously American.

If GM makes a car based on the Sixteen (obviously the design needs some updating, it is 7 years old after all), they will have a real winner to compete with Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche, and quite possible Maserati and Aston Martin.

    Heres what I want:

    A Sixteen based car
Engines: LSA and the 7.5 litre Northstar V12
    mild hybrid
    Radical design
    superb build quality
    Dual clutch transmission
multi-link adjustable suspension... akin to the S-Class adaptive air suspension
    Driver's handling
Advanced technology: new UI to compete with Ford's new Sync. Radar, collision avoidance, infrared, etc.
    Available AWD, but standard RWD

I dream... but maybe one day this winning formula can be used to create genuine American competition to the established European auto makers.

The XTS is extremely nice. I hope that Cadillac will produce this car with a V8 engine and/or, at least offer a V8 option. The size is good and is compatible with the size of an S class MB, Jaguar, and 7 Series BMW.

The comments that Cadillac/GM is not building vehicles better and they are inferior to rival imports is absurd and ridicoulous. In that context, I presnt my experience of over 20 years ownership of E and S class MBs.

    1. The transmission of my 1988 S320 purchased new, dealer maintained on schedule, and only driven by my wife needed to be rebuilt after 50K miles. In comparison, my 1999 GMC Sierra has the same transmission with 178K miles driven under the same conditions. Furthermore, my MB now has 68K miles and sofar required 3 brake jobs. My GMC on the other hand,  has had one brake job after 178K miles. The interior of my GMC in 10 years has held up much better than the interior of my S class MB.

    2. The suspension of the S MB, shocks, etc is far more superior than any other vehicle and the body integrity is outstanding.

    3. Engine performance is the best in the industry. However, it requires meticulous maintenace schedule to perform well; otherwise, it will fight back.

Needless to say, the derogatory comments that Cadillacs do not compare favorably with imports of the same class is not true. I maintain my cars for at least 10 years and my GM made vehicle has held up in an excellent manner; however, I cannot say that for my S class MB.

I will  replace my S320 with a new XTS when the car is offered in the spring next year.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating after all.

When cadilliac makes a real 6 seat sedan, i'm ready to buy it. I tried the so called 6 seat models - what a farce. They put the the gear shift on the steering column and dropped the arm rest. It's only wide enough for a small child [who should not be ridding there.]
Years ago they made a bench seat that could accomadate 3 adults.
I'm waiting for a real 6 passenger sedan.

There is no mention of the 2014 CTS.  According to MTrend, it will be larger, to match BMW 5.  How can their magazine be ahead of you?
