Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum
What's Special About It?
How about 24 layers of paint, a silver-plated grille and 20-inch wheels and tires? Throw in bi-xenon headlights and foglights and you have yourself one slick-looking 'Slade. The customization doesn't stop there, however, as this ESV sports a cashmere and suede interior highlighted by burled walnut trim and sterling silver accents on the instrument panel, door handles, shift knob and steering wheel. Both the first- and second-row seats are heated and cooled while the driver and front passenger also get the benefit of heated and cooled cupholders. Second- and third-row passengers get their share of the fun, too, with multisource LCD screens that can show two movies at the same time or a movie and a game system. All this can be played over the Bose audio system of course, or you could just listen to the crystal-clear reception of the XM Satellite Radio.
Why Should You Care?
As a mere concept exercise, the ESV Platinum isn't likely to land on your dealer lot anytime soon, but don't be surprised if a few of its unique enhancements eventually make their way onto the ESV's options list. As the top-of-the-line model in the Escalade lineup, the ESV may become the showcase vehicle for Cadillac's latest and greatest features.
