Revealed: 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon
According to Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac, "The drama of the sedan is amplified in the CTS Sport Wagon, as the centerline cue that is part of the exterior and interior is more prominent and plays a stronger role in defining the design at the rear of the vehicle."
Built on the same chassis as its sedan counterpart, the CTS Sport Wagon is fractionally shorter in overall length. The cargo area offers 25 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats compared to the 14 cubic feet offered in the CTS sedan.
The engine lineup mimics the sedan with a base 263-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 and an optional 304-hp direct-injection version of the same engine. Transmission options are the same as well, so the CTS Sport Wagon will be available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic in either rear- or all-wheel drive.
Cadillac says to expect an auto show debut this fall, with sales beginning next spring.
