SANTA MONICA, California — GM unexpectedly unveiled the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon this weekend when an online screenshot from a Harris Poll opinion survey about the new CTS Sport Wagon surfaced on the Internet. First reported by Jalopnik.com, the opinion poll included photos and full specifications of the new wagon.

According to the poll information, the CTS Sport Wagon will offer a choice between a 260-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 and a 304-hp 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 with a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available.

As with the CTS sedan, the equipment list includes full-time traction control, electronic stability control, side curtain airbags, an UltraView double-size sunroof, eight-speaker Bose stereo, available 5.1 Surround Sound with hard drive music storage, available pop-up touchscreen navigation system and OnStar.

Cargo capacity for the new wagon is reported to be 25 cubic feet with the rear seat in use, expanding to 58 cubic feet when the second row is folded down.

Pricing is said to be in the $37,500-$42,500 range.

What this means to you: It's a Cadillac trifecta with sedan, coupe and now wagon versions of the hot new CTS. — Kelly Toepke, News Editor
