    What Is It?
    Cadillac CTS Sport Concept

    What's Special About It?
Designed to fill the gap between the 400-horsepower CTS V-Series and the 255-hp base model, the CTS Sport blends upgraded performance and subtle exterior modifications to create a striking midpack player. The combination of a centrifugal supercharger and a Corsa cat-back exhaust system boosts the standard 3.6-liter V6's power rating from 255 to an even 300 hp. The stock five-speed automatic remains but the suspension was beefed up with a few components from the V-Series model along with a set of 18-inch alloy wheels and cross-drilled brake rotors. Additional exterior modifications are limited to a body-colored grille, extended rocker panels and a small rear deck spoiler. Interior enhancements include replacing the standard model's wood trim with leather-covered pieces as well as additional metallic trim and two more speakers for the premium Bose audio system.

    Why Should You Care?
As Cadillac's fortunes continue to improve, look for the luxury carmaker to persistently expand its lineup with specialty models that broaden its appeal to a wide-ranging audience. The modest nature of the enhancements to the CTS Sport is a good sign that this could become a production model in the near future. — Ed Hellwig
