DETROIT — Give Cadillac credit: It's not about to take a performance backseat to its European competitors, and certainly not with the impending launch of the new 2011 CTS-V Coupe, which will share the CTS-V sedan's sizzling 556-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8. The CTS-V Coupe makes its formal debut next week at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show and goes on sale in early summer.
The CTS-V Coupe will come with a choice of six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
The V-series edition gets magnetic ride control, Brembo brakes, dual exhaust outlets and 19-inch cast-aluminum wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 performance rubber.
The CTS-V Coupe features a specific grille designed to boost air intake volume, as well as unique front and rear fascias and a hood with a raised center section (to provide more clearance for the blower).
The LSA V8 in the CTS-V Coupe delivers 556 hp and 551 pound-feet of torque — good enough to provide 0-60-mph acceleration in a blistering 3.9 seconds. Transmission choices include a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual with a dual-disc clutch and a Hydra-matic 6L90 six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
The V-series interior includes a 40 GB hard drive, navigation, Bose audio and Bluetooth hands-free capability as standard, as well as such options as Recaro sport buckets and a new saffron color.

Can't wait to see this in person - if it comes in AWD, I'd be very excited!
