The range-topping 800-hp Hennessey CTS-V trades the stock supercharger for a pair of ball-bearing turbochargers. Hennessey also adds blow-off valves, upgraded injectors, an exhaust system and new cylinder heads. Hennessey hasn't released performance stats for the twin-turbo CTS-V, but does say that torque is now at 780 pound-feet. The stock CTS-V makes 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque from the 6.2-liter supercharged V8.
Lower-powered Hennessey models rely on modifications to the supercharged power plant including a new pulley, camshafts, cylinder heads, exhaust system and tuned engine management software. Modified to make 700 hp, the CTS-V will run to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, hit the quarter-mile mark in 10.9 seconds at 129 mph and reach a top speed of 211 mph with the manual transmission. Hennessey is also producing 610- and 650-hp kits.
