The Lucerne Super is outfitted with a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 that churns out 292 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 288 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm. Buick said it gets new "premium steering components," higher-rate front and rear coil springs, a larger front stabilizer bar, Magnetic Ride Control and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Exterior touches include a new grille and front fascia, new rocker panels, new rear fascia and exhaust tips and "Super" badging.
The cabin gets a leather-wrapped instrument panel, suede trim, a walnut wood shifter and a 280-watt, nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Options include 18-inch chrome wheels, side blind zone and lane departure warning system and a sunroof.
The 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL Special Edition comes with either a 197-hp 3.8-liter V6 or a 275-hp Northstar 4.6-liter V8. Exterior touches include a chrome grille, 17-inch chrome-clad wheels and a new rear fascia.

$47K for a new Super 2 much much too much.
