Teased: 2010 Buick LaCrosse

DETROIT — General Motors offered a peek at Buick's all-new 2010 LaCrosse by releasing a teaser image, and announcing the car will make its official world debut in November at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.

GM says the appearance is "strongly influenced" by the Buick Invicta displayed at the Beijing auto show earlier this year. That car was the joint work of GM teams in China and Michigan and was billed as "Buick's strongest statement yet of its deliberately international plans." It had a 2.0-liter four-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine making 250 horsepower, and a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2010 LaCrosse will ride on GM's new global midsize platform.
