DETROIT — Buick continues its pre-show striptease of the 2013 Encore, releasing another partial photo Tuesday on its Facebook page. The brand will continue to reveal the new Encore in a series of teaser photos to be posted on Facebook in advance of the crossover's official introduction in January at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
The 2013 Encore is a five-passenger compact crossover that is being widely referred to as the "baby Enclave," a reference to the full-size Buick crossover that is slated to get a significant face-lift for model year 2013.
The latest photo of the Encore shows more of the car's hood, windshield and roof. An earlier shot detailed the Encore's left front corner, showing portions of a headlamp, grille, hood and fender.
Buick has declined to release any details on the car, other than to say the new Encore will feature "contemporary styling, signature QuietTuning technology and a host of features and amenities customers expect from Buicks today."
Inside Line says: It looks like a Buick — so far.

@carconvos
If it is not a rebadged Vue, it has to be based on the Chevrolet Orlando, and that is built on the Delta II platform.
Gamma II is too small.

Anyone know an attorney that is well versed in suing Buick to have them own up to producing a true lemon? My 2009 Buick Enclave could not have more problems if I were to dream up an ultimate worst case scenario.

I still think it is a luxury Vue/Antara/Captiva in the same sense the Verano is the luxury version of the Cruze.
The quarter window could be an improvement for better visibility, or it is simply to differentiate it from the others. It is the same case with the Verano/Cruze.

Buick continues to be amazed by itself.
The theme of all their commercials are a few DINKs dropping their jaws in amazment as a Buick slowly rolls by. This is what Buick and GM think US buys want ... crowd appeal ... crowd acceptance ... being one up on your neighbor.
Misguided waste ........

It's a Buick... Big Deal. GM has gotta learn the trick of revealing sexy cars. Buicks aren't sexy...

The backdrop in that photo reminds me of a tropical urban setting. Anyone know where it is?

I think it's a restyled Theta short wheelbase based on the proposed Plug-In Hybrid that Buick was going to build after the Vue was discontinued. http://www.rossisuperstore.com/blog1/?m=201012

Don't think so. A-pillar is too steep, and the Buick has a quarter window not found on the current GM crossovers. I still say it's a variation of the Astra.
