SUFFOLK, England — Steve Hurn Specialist Cars prides itself on its "very discreet yet highly efficient service" of buying and selling luxury cars. Just the place, then, for Formula 1 star Jenson Button to list his Bugatti Veyron for sale.

Currently in 1st place in the Formula 1 standings for Brawn, and most recently photographed by the Daily Mail strolling the sands at St. Tropez with his model girlfriend after having competed in the London Triathlon on August 3 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Button is selling the million-dollar-plus luxury car for reasons he has not disclosed. Button owns several top sports and luxury cars in addition to the Veyron.

Steve Hurn was quoted by the British Evening Star newspaper as explaining, "He's had it for about 16 months and he's never really been in the country to drive it."

Button's 2008 Veyron 16.4 is listed as black with black leather interior and "all usual refinements." Button is named as the second owner of the Veyron, which the dealer says is "in absolutely stunning condition" with 1,553 miles on the odometer.

Although the site misspells the name of the car, its price is no typo: £899,995, which comes out to $1,495,113.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has a 1,001-horsepower W16 engine making 921 pound-feet of torque, mated to a seven-gear clutch transmission. The car has Formula 1-style aerodynamics and a top speed of nearly 250 mph.
