And the headline for 2009 is the open-top version Bugatti calls the Grand Sport.

It's powered by the same midmounted 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine used in the coupe. It's good for 1,001 hp and an unbelievable 922 pound-feet of torque. The all-wheel-drive supercar also packs a beefed-up seven-speed version of its excellent dual-clutch gearbox.
Top speed is limited to 217 mph with the roof panel stored in the owner's garage, which makes it the world's fastest convertible. And the price of this two-seater? The expected starting price is $2,250,000. Bugatti says only 80 examples will be built.
