- BMW announces the Design Pure Impulse package for the Z4.
- The cosmetic package includes black and yellow interior accessories.
- Atacama Yellow is a new exterior paint option.
MUNICH, Germany — U.S. customers won't be able to order the latest special equipment group for the BMW Z4, called the Design Pure Impulse package and available beginning in September.
Aimed exclusively at European customers, the package includes black Alcantara/napa leather sport seats with yellow accents, black Alcantara surface decor with a yellow contrast seam on the front passenger side, BMW Individual trim strips in piano-black lacquer finish, anthracite BMW Individual roof lining, yellow Alcantara inserts in the doors and black napa leather armrests.
A new body color, Atacama Yellow, is available only with the Design Pure Impulse package, which also can be ordered with a choice of Alpine White, Sapphire Black, Titanium Silver or Space Gray Metallic.

I do like the color, very much so in fact. I could use it in manhattan to make some supplemental income, all I need is a taxi meter instead of sat nav and I'd be set... It would be nice to see some interior shots, but I have a feeling it looks horrid.

As long as customer's are willing to pay thousands for gimmicks then BMW will continue to sell.
Funny thing, A co-worker of mine's cousin wanted a BMW M3 so badly that he bought one with his credit card.
Imagine a 60 thousand dollar car with 22% interest and he makes less than 40k a year.

I kind of like the color and it stinks that it's Euro only. Watch as the next appearance package for the Z4 made available in the States will be for the Z4is only.
It's too bad, as BMW is sorely lacking in good yellow colors for their 2011 MY line up.

That yellow looks like an in-between of phoenix yellow and dakar yellow.
