AACHEN, GERMANY — German tuner AC Schnitzer has tuned BMW's X6 with more power, chassis upgrades and style similar to its recent X5 Falcon.

The X6 Falcon delivers more output with computer modifications to the two diesel engines available in Europe. Power from the 3.0-liter diesel has been increased by 37 horsepower to 272 hp. The 3.5-liter diesel has been tuned to make 310 hp, up from 286 hp. In back, exhaust gases pass through a new pair of pipes. AC Schnitzer has increased the track of the X6 by 2.75 inches in the front and 3.15 inches in the rear. The X6 Falcon also receives new springs that were tuned on the Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

AC Schnitzer claims the new front skirt, rear diffuser and spoiler are aerodynamically tuned to create downforce. The multipiece 22-inch alloy wheels are available in silver or black. Inside, the company also offers aluminum pedals, new floor mats, a three-spoke steering wheel and an aluminum cover for the iDrive controller.

Inside Line says: You'll really have to love what's under the hood to appreciate the looks of the X6 Falcon. — Eric Tingwall, Correspondent
