2009 Geneva Auto Show: Lumma Design CLR X 650 GT

WINTERLINGEN, Germany — Although it does feature the same sinister look as the Lumma Design CLR X 650 from last November, Lumma's GT version has a number of changes ready to debut at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.

The German tuner uses its gas pedal power module on the GT model that changes the calibration of the accelerator for a faster response from the 4.4-liter turbocharged V8, and Lumma also knocks the CLR X 650's ride height down 1.4 inches with a sport suspension.

The most noticeable visual upgrade is the rear carbon-fiber spoiler that acts as a starting point for the black accent line running across the entire side of the white vehicle. The spoiler blends well with the two-tone 23-inch alloys and redesigned side skirts and front bumper to create a cookies-and-cream look that works well on the modified BMW X6 crossover.

A sport steering wheel with a shift indicator display and sport seats upholstered with leather and Alcantara will help keep the occupants comfortable.

Inside Line says: The black-and-white look is a failsafe combo that gives the X6 Bimmer a meaner and sportier appearance. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
