2009 Frankfurt Auto Show Preview: More BMW X1 Teaser Shots
MUNICH, Germany — BMW continues to release teaser shots of its new X1 compact crossover ahead of the vehicle's anticipated September launch at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The production model will closely resemble the BMW X1 concept that was released last fall at the 2008 Paris Auto Show.
The X1 is slated to go on sale in Germany later in the year, but isn't expected to cross the Atlantic for at least two more years.
The X1 will likely share some familial styling cues with its larger sibling, the next-generation X3, which is also due in 2011.
Inside Line says: Look for a starting price tag of just under $30,000. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
