    What Is It?
    2003 BMW 760Li

    What's Special About It?
How about a 435 horsepower V12 engine that can propel the big sedan to 60 miles per hour in less than six seconds? That's right, the new 760Li reintroduces 12-cylinder power to the 7 Series lineup after a brief one-year hiatus. An entirely new engine from top to bottom, the new all-aluminum 6.0-liter power plant is the world's first production V12 engine to use gasoline direct injection (GDI) technology. It also features BMW's own Valvetronic variable valve timing system that eliminates the traditional throttle butterfly in favor of infinitely variable intake valves. A six-speed automatic transmission manages the engine's substantial power while providing the driver with the option of controlling the shifts himself with steering wheel-mounted shift buttons.

The interior is outfitted with nearly every available option offered on the standard eight-cylinder 7 Series. In addition, the 760Li also provides an auxiliary iDrive controller mounted between the rear seats as well as leather and wood trim and an Alcantara suede headliner. Exterior modifications are minor. The twin-kidney grille is wider, there's a few additional chrome accents and, last but certainly not least, official "V12" badges are mounted on the quarter panels to let everyone around know that you bucked up for the top-of-the-line model.
