BMW 7-Series Protection
Displayed at the L.A. Auto Show for the first time was the all-new 750iL Protection model from BMW. This is the top car in BMW's Protection line that began with the 540i Protection in 1998 and includes the new 740iL. Utilizing Aramide fiber instead of steel, these sedans are capable of protecting their occupants from attacks with handguns, projectiles and striking weapons. Weight is increased by 320 pounds over a standard BMW sedan and all Protection models include BMW's Dynamic Stability Control, Electronic Damping Control, Self-Leveling Suspension, Servotronic steering, On-board Navigation System, Cellular Phone and Run Flat tires.
