TOKYO — Wald International, the quirky Japanese tuner, has dressed up the latest BMW 5 Series sedan with one of its patented Sports Line Black Bison Edition kits.
Wald's new Sports Line Black Bison Edition 5 bundles new front and rear aprons, side skirts, roof spoiler, deck-lid spoiler and extended wheel arches, with most exterior add-on parts constructed of fiber-reinforced plastic.
Also featured are LED running lights, multispoke alloy wheels, additional air intakes and a quad-pipe exhaust system.
The 2011 5 Series, known internally by its program code F10, also is expected to get suspension, powertrain and interior upgrades from Wald, which released images of the car's development and final touches.
Stay tuned for a Black Bison Edition of the Mercedes-Benz CLS.
Inside Line says: The exterior modifications don't look bad, but isn't it time to retire the anachronistic "Black Bison" name? — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

Looks terrible. It's really hard to modify a BMW 5 series without making it look like you're trying too hard. AMG and M divisions do it well because it's subtle. Everyone else that tries makes it look way to gaudy.

Gorgeous car. Gay name.
Back looks like a pre-facelift G35 sedan, though.

I always loved Wald stuff. Classy and understated, never over-the-top. I wanted a kit for my old Mercedes but those parts straight from Japan do not come cheap!

Its funny how the Japanese designers seem to keep these luxury cars at bay, and not overly ridiculous. I like it.
