    Just the Facts:
    • An aero body kit, suspension upgrades, new wheels and tires, plus interior accents are part of Hamann's 5 Series Touring package.
    • Hamann offers a choice of 20- and 21-inch alloy rims.
    • A suspension lowering kit drops ride height by 1.4 inches.

LAUPHEIM, Germany — Hamann Motorsport hasn't neglected the European family car. Its latest effort is to enhance the looks and performance of the BMW 5 Series Touring.

The BMW wagon benefits from Hamann's aero body kit, which bundles a front skirt and lip spoiler, LED running lights, side skirts, a rear apron with integral diffuser (including cutouts for the quad tailpipes) and a pair of spoilers, one for the roof and one for the tailgate.

Hamann offers a choice of 20- and 21-inch wheels in several finishes. Its anodized Edition Race rims can be ordered with 255/30ZR21 rubber in front and 295/25ZR21s in the rear.

Additional hardware modifications include a set of progressively wound suspension springs that lower ride height by 1.4 inches, as well as a sport exhaust system that can be ordered with a metal catalyst.

Parents with more sporting inclinations will no doubt appreciate such touches in the cabin as the 10-piece decorative accents in matte-titanium gray carbon-fiber, plus a sport steering wheel, aluminum pedals and velour logo floor mats.

Inside Line says: Euro moms — soccer dads, too — should love this one.

I'll take one with 19s.  I do after all, live in America -- the land of the pothole.

Doesn't Hamann ever get tired of using those same wheels for the past like 10+ years?

By principle, I hate all CUV because their sales given manufacturers an excuse not to bring these here.
