TURIN, Italy — Official images of Bertone's Alfa Romeo-based Pandion concept have leaked ahead of the coupe's public debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show.

Bertone released its own teaser several weeks ago but revealed no other details at the time.

The latest images first appeared on the European Web site unica-strada.com.

The Pandion (the Latin genus name of the osprey) is one of two Geneva showcars said to be based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, the other being a Pininfarina spider concept.

Inside Line says: More than one blog has drawn comparisons between the Pandion and last fall's BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

The problem with those Alfa Romeo grilles is where to put the license plate.

(the current Alfas have similar grilles)

I like the t-shaped grill.  I wonder if it will be a future design element in upcoming vehicles?
