Tuner Special: Premier4509 Bentley Continental

PARAMOUNT, California — If a $160,000 price tag and a clean, intimidating ride appeal to you, Premier4509 is now offering an exclusive wide-body aero kit for the Bentley Continental GT. Premier4509 was developed by performance and body guru Veilside, which also owns two world records for racing and several design awards from the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon.

"The purpose of this design exercise was to enhance the car's aggressive nature while keeping a refined look that matched with the original body lines," said Hironao Yokomaku, the company president, who spent many months developing this Bentley project.

The handmade carbon-fiber/FRP kit includes front and rear bumpers, side skirts, front fenders and rear quarter panels that widen the car by 4 inches. The huge fenders are a perfect fit for the menacing deep-dish billet aluminum wheels. A custom four-piece bumper/grille set combines with new exhaust tips to create a look that is quite different from the traditional Bentley appearance. Premier4509 will also be offering two wing variations for further modification.

This wide-body set will be limited to only 100 kits worldwide, each with an individually numbered serial plate. The MSRP should end up around $28,000, which is the price for the sister Murciélago design package. Expect to see new packages for Maserati and Aston Martin models by next year, too.

What this means to you: Although it may not be as smooth or clean as the stock GT, Premier4509's limited-edition Bentley setup has charms all its own. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
