September, 1998 -- Bentley unveiled a targa model today at the Paris Auto Show to accompany their current lineup of coupes, sedans and convertibles. The Continental SC (Sedanca Coupe) is based on the well-known Continental R, and is designed to give drivers the thrill of open-air touring while maintaining the performance characteristics of a closed-top coupe.
The Continental SC is powered by a turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 engine that provides drivers with 400 horsepower and 590 foot-pounds of torque in this application. This slots the SC above the Continental R and Azure in the power department, but well below the Continental T.
