MONTEREY, California — The 2011 Bentley Continental GTC 80-11 will start at $220,545 and the 2011 Bentley Continental GTC Speed 80-11 will start at $247,545 when the two special models arrive in U.S. showrooms this fall. Prices include a $3,000 gas-guzzler tax and a $2,595 destination charge. The two special models were unveiled here during the 60th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
Bentley said it is building only 80 examples of each convertible in 2011.
The GTC 80-11 features new 20-inch 14-spoke alloy diamond wheels with black center caps with the "B" emblem. The GTC Speed 80-11 gets 20-inch wheels.
"Both cars give a nod to Bentley's British heritage with Union Jack brightware badges featured on the front fenders," said Bentley in a statement.
The two limited-edition models also get a special exterior color dubbed "Midnight" paired with a "Dark Grey Metallic" soft top.
Cabin details include Beluga leather with contrast stitching. The aluminum dashboard has a bright finish in the GTC and a sportier dark finish for the GTC Speed. Drilled alloy sport pedals are standard on both models.
The GTC is equipped with a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine that produces 552 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The GTC Speed model also uses the same powertrain tweaked to 600 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.
