What Recession? Bentley Rolls Out a Ritzy 2009 "Power on Ice" Program

RUKA, Finland — In a refreshing change of pace from the dire news about tumbling auto sales and automakers teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, Bentley has released details about its 2009 "Power on Ice" driving event. The pricey program provides a tantalizing peek at how the wealthy will play with Bentley Continental GTs on the frozen tundra of Finland this winter.

If you can't make it — or afford it — Bentley has made an intriguing little film of the package.

The all-inclusive package is priced at the U.S. equivalent of $9,885 to $11,706. Bentley said it is "creating its own private holiday village consisting of a small boutique hotel and a number of exclusive chalets" for the program, which is set for February and March. The program centers around driving exercises on a frozen lake in the middle of Finland. Guided snowmobile trips and a dog-sledding excursion are also available.
