Cher's 2005 Bentley Continental GT To Cross Auction Block

LOS ANGELES — Cher's 2005 Bentley Continental GT, complete with a "lucky" necklace hanging from the rearview mirror and "CHERZGT" vanity plates, will cross the auction block in Los Angeles on January 23 as part of the Bonhams Entertainment event.

The diva's car is expected to fetch $80,000-$120,000, according to Bonhams. It is currently part of the collection of Dr. Arnold Klein, the Beverly Hills dermatologist to the stars. The auction also includes "eight and a half lines of writing, possibly lyrics, in Michael Jackson's hand," with an estimated worth of $3,000-$5,000 and a pair of diamond and onyx cufflinks once owned by Elizabeth Taylor, with an estimated worth of $5,000-$7,000, said Bonhams in a statement.

Cher's Bentley has 16,780 miles on the odometer and is said to be in excellent condition. It is swathed in black with a Black Onyx wood veneer dashboard and interior accents. The Bentley is powered by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine.

The pop culture icon was described by Frank Bruni in the New York Times as "the Sherman tank of divas, sometimes under fire, but seldom in retreat." Cher, whose career stretches back to 1965 with the hit song "I Got You, Babe", won the best actress Oscar for the movie Moonstruck. She has racked up 50 years' worth of hit songs and most recently starred in the movie Burlesque.
