2005 SEMA Auto Show
The annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show is one of the greatest automotive spectacles on earth...and you're not invited.
It's a trade show for the aftermarket, so unless you make a living selling tires or building big blocks you're persona non grata.
No problem, we've got it covered for you. Instead of spending two days walking the millions of square feet of floor space at the Las Vegas Convention Center, you can sit back and click your way through the cars, parts and people that make SEMA a show worth seeing.
SEMA's main focus is the aftermarket, but that hasn't stopped major car companies from using the SEMA show to reveal new cars they hope will inspire even more ideas for customization. This year Honda is the featured manufacturer, so there were plenty of tricked-out examples of the all-new 2006 Civic. Toyota was there, too, with the production version of its 2007 FJ Cruiser as well as the new Yaris compact. Hyundai had a world premiere of its own with the next-generation Accent hatchback while Mitsubishi showed off concept versions of the Eclipse coupe and Raider truck.
You may not have been able to go, but with our coverage you won't miss a thing.
