2001 New York Auto Show

Overview

2001 New York Auto Show

What a strange place to hold an auto show. Detroit makes sense because it's the Motor City. Los Angeles makes sense because Angelenos have never heard of public transportation. But why Manhattan, a place where traffic oozes and cabs are the vehicle of choice?

Because it's the Big Apple, silly. What other explanation do you need? From April 13 to 22, the Jacobs K. Javits Convention Center is host to the 2001 New York International Auto Show. This year, the show celebrates its 101-year anniversary. We here at Edmunds.com can't say we were around to cover the first auto show, but we're making up for it this year with extensive editorial and video coverage.
