2001 Geneva Auto Show

Overview

2001 Geneva Auto Show

What better host for an internationally eclectic auto show than pristine Geneva, Switzerland, self-proclaimed "crossroad of men and ideas"? Several of our editors are on site to bring you the most pertinent, as well as the most interesting and exciting, news from Switzerland's automotive showcase.

The 71st Geneva Auto Show was fairly sparse in terms of new introductions. There were a few interesting high-performance vehicles, including the Aston Martin Vanquish, the hopped-up Honda Civic Type R and the Volkswagen Passat W8. If budget is a concern for you, then check out the redesigned BMW 3 Series Compact, Hyundai Terracan SUV and Mini One.

While we won't be able to take you along on our jaunts to the nearby Alpine region or our evening strolls along lovely Lake Geneva (and no, we haven't been subsidized by the Geneva Tourism Board), we will do our darnedest to keep you informed of all that was worthwhile at the 2001 Geneva Auto Show. We also encourage you to check out our video clips if you have high-speed Internet access. Enjoy!
