Audi A8/S8 Refined for 2008

    0 Ratings
INGOLSTADT, Germany — Audi has modestly upgraded its flagship A8/S8 range this fall, with subtle exterior enhancements and new technology.

All cars get more direct steering for better handling, plus improved insulation to reduce tire and road noise. The adaptive air suspension has been retuned for a more comfortable ride.

Powertrain choices for the U.S. remain unchanged from 2007. For the U.S. market, Audi has no plans to offer the European TDI engine in 2008.

Among the advanced features being offered on the A8 and S8 is a new side-assist system that employs intelligent radar technology and LED indicators to warn a driver if another vehicle is present during lane-changing maneuvers. A lane-assist system warns of unintentional lane departure through vibrations in the steering wheel.

In addition, there are modest changes in exterior trim and color.

What this means to you: The A8/S8 range remains the technology showcase for the brand.
