AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Audi of America said 250 special-edition S4 models called "S4 25quattro" will be built to celebrate 25 years of its quattro technology.
The special S4 is priced at $60,970, including a $720 destination charge.
The S4 25quattro will debut August 19 at the Audi exhibit at "The Quail" event taking place at The Quail Lodge Resort in Carmel, California. The event includes a celebration of Audi's legacy and will feature vehicles from the brand's 100-plus-year history, including the 1929 Audi Imperator.
Each special S4 will have a silver exterior with carbon-fiber trim on the front bumper and rear spoiler. The body will have special rocker panels and unique 15-spoke Audi wheels with 18-inch high-performance tires.
In the cabin, the S4 25quattro will feature an exclusive quattro shift knob, "gray silk" nappa leather seat trim and carbon-fiber embellishments. The car will be powered by a 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 340 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque, mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission. Audi says the S4 sedan goes from zero to 60 in 5.3 seconds.
Audi is promoting its silver-anniversary S4 in an online sweepstakes. Participants can enter to win a two-year lease of an S4 25quattro starting August 18 at www.audiusa.com/25quattro.
