Tuner Special: Abt Audi Q5

KEMPTEN, Germany — The VW Group tuner upgrades its Audi Q5 with more power and a new look.

Abt Sportsline offers a variety of power kits for the vehicle's entire range of engines. The 2.0 TDI gets a jump from 170 to 190 horsepower, the 3.0 TDI diesel now makes 310 hp and the 2.0 TSI is bumped up from 211 to 240 hp and will also be available with an upgrade to 275 hp in the near future. A sport suspension, a four-pipe exhaust system and 15-inch brakes complete the list of performance modifications.

The body kit includes front and rear bumpers, rocker panels and a new grille and rear spoiler. It wouldn't be an Abt treatment without the addition of huge and shiny 22-inch alloys.

The German tuner can outfit the interior with a variety of accoutrements like floor mats, carbon fiber inserts and leather trim.

Inside Line says: Abt refines the aggressive look of the Q5 with its latest tuner car. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
