POMONA, California — The Los Angeles-based Motor Press Guild (MPG) offered its Best of the Year Awards for excellence in automotive journalism earlier this week, resulting in two accolades for Inside Line. Presented at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, Video Producer Glenn McClanan and Senior Photographer Scott Jacobs won MPG's audio/visual and photography awards for work that appeared on Inside Line in 2008.

McClanan's winning video, "Dodge Challenger SRT8 vs. 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt," is a hair-raising look at two dueling muscle cars on twisting mountain roads and a drag strip.

Jacobs' winning photograph of the 2008 BMW M3 is a sunset shot of the car with a crisp water reflection in the foreground.

"Glenn and Scott are among the most talented producers and photographers in the automotive industry," said Scott Oldham, editor in chief of Inside Line. "I am proud of their accomplishment, and it's great to see they are getting the recognition they deserve."

The Motor Press Guild is a non-profit professional association dedicated to promoting education and information exchange within the motoring press.
