    Audi A3
    • 2014 Audi A3: Although Europe will get a fully redesigned A3 in summer 2012, this car is at least another year out for the U.S. A sedan body style is likely this time around, but the five-door A3 hatchback will probably come over here as well.

    Audi A4
    • 2013 Audi A4: Audi is discontinuing the standard A4 Avant in the U.S. and replacing it with the Allroad wagon, which has a slightly higher ride height than the normal wagon. The rest of the A4 family gets a refresh for 2013; along with cosmetic changes, the whole line adopts electric-assist power steering.
    • 2015 Audi A4: A full redesign is expected in late 2014, at which point Audi may finally offer its 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine in the U.S.-spec A4.

    Audi A5
    • 2013 Audi A5: The A5 coupe and convertible are scheduled for a face-lift.

    Audi A6
    • 2014 Audi A6: Audi plans to offer one of its diesel power plants in the current-generation A6, likely the 3.0 TDI V6.

    Audi A7
    • 2015 Audi A7: Look for the A7 to get a refresh for the 2015 model year.

    Audi A8
    • 2013 Audi A8: The 245-hp A8 hybrid, which combines Audi's 2.0 TFSI engine with an electric motor, will show up for the 2013 model year.
    • 2014 Audi A8: Look for Audi to offer its diesel 3.0-liter TDI V6 in the U.S. sometime during the 2014 model year.

    Audi Q3
    • 2015 Audi Q3: Audi has never officially ruled out bringing its smallest crossover SUV to the U.S., even going so far as to show a concept version at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. If it does happen, the launch is likely at least 2-3 years out.

    Audi Q5
    • 2012 Audi Q5: Look for midcycle updates during the 2012 model year. In addition to adding the hybrid model, Audi officials have also hinted that diesel power is a possibility, too.
    • 2013 Audi Q5: The Q5 hybrid will come to the U.S. for the 2013 model year.
    • 2014 Audi Q5: A diesel Q5 should launch in the U.S. a year or two after the hybrid model.

    Audi Q6
    • 2014 Audi Q6: It's rumored that Audi will slot a coupe-like crossover into its lineup to compete with the BMW X6.

    Audi Q7
    • 2013 Audi Q7: Expect to see an all-new Q7 arrive for the 2013 model year. It won't look radically different from the current model, but like its Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg platform mates, it should be a lot lighter, which should improve acceleration, fuel economy and handling.

    Audi R4
    • 2014 Audi R4: Audi plans to introduce a midengine car that slots between the TT and R8; it will share its platform architecture with the Porsche Boxster and Cayman. An electric version is all but guaranteed, but we expect more conventional gasoline variants as well, along with coupe and convertible body styles.

    Audi R8
    • 2013 Audi R8 e-tron: Audi will start production of its first EV, an all-electric R8, in late 2012, and U.S. sales should begin early in the 2013 calendar year.
    • 2014 Audi R8: A midcycle refresh is possible for the 2014 model year and could involve new drivetrain options.

    Audi RS5
    • 2013 Audi RS5: The RS5 will finally arrive in the U.S. in the summer of 2012. It features a 444-horsepower version of Audi's 4.2-liter V8 along with a seven-speed automated dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive.

    Audi S4
    • 2013 Audi S4: The S4 gets a refresh for 2013. Other than the inevitable cosmetic changes, it switches to electric power steering.

    Audi S5
    • 2013 Audi S5: A refresh is in the works for 2013; the S5 coupe loses its sonorous V8 in favor of Audi's more fuel-efficient supercharged, 3.0-liter V6.

    Audi S6
    • 2013 Audi S6: A new S6 is coming to the U.S. this fall; it will feature Audi's new twin-turbocharged 4.0 TFSI V8 and a seven-speed, dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

    Audi S7
    • 2013 Audi S7: The S7 is also headed to the U.S. later in the 2012 calendar year; it uses the same drivetrain as the S6.

    Audi S8
    • 2013 Audi S8: A high-performance version of the Audi A8 will to arrive in 2012. It will be powered by a 512-hp version of the new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with an eight-speed automatic driving all four wheels through a standard all-wheel-drive system.

    Audi TT
    • 2014 Audi TT: Look for a full redesign of the Audi TT during the 2014 model year.

    Audi TTS
    • 2014 Audi TTS: Look for the sport version of the TT to get a redesign for 2014 as well.

    Audi TT RS
    • 2014 Audi TT RS: The TT RS will be due for a redesign, too, but depending on sales of the 2012-'13 model, we're not holding our breath on it returning for an encore.

I am now nearly 57 and have owned 20 cars since HS. I have had two Audi's ...a 98 A4 2.8 Quattro 5spd and a 2001 TT Coupe 1.8T 5spd. I especially liked the TT Coupe . My hope is the new TT returns more to the Bauhaus design theme and that they make it more hard core.  No, my 2001 wasnt super quick and it handled just ok but it was made extremely well made inside and out and you really felt you were driving something quite special. I still see one of the originals today and it always turns my head. It still looks quite good 10 yrs later. I sold the TT prematurely  and bought a 2002 Mini Cooper S. Although I loved the 02 MCS I still miss that little TT. I have looked at the existing Mk II version and got to the point of negotiating but the draw was not enough to proceed on the current version. Lets see what they come up with for the MK III TT.

My Son just registered his AUDI '86 Coupe GT with a "Classic" 25 yr Lic plate in Woodinville, WA.  He was 10 yrs when we took a month to select it against: 3xx BMW, Saab Turbo, 190 MBenz, Mercur; but that sweet, smooth, purring 5-cyl 2.2L, 5 MT, torqued the choice.  It assumed a self-confident, yet understated personality-like myself.  At 250K+ miles, an original clutch, trans, engine & same gear thru town, it's a breezy cruise up WA20 over the Cascades.  If my pockets & the hidden-in-the-trees, green WA patrols weren't concerned, we'd be flying a twin-turbo 5-C Pikes Peak rocket.

An Audi driver since, A4/A6, sedans/Avants, I'd have liked a continued combo of 5-pot power + turbo boost.  My current cruise is an A4 Avant-q 1.8T, thrifty, quick, secure-even if some rain may fall.  But, I wonder what fun, if it had 5-C turbo + Quattro!  And, just leave Wife to enjoy her A4 2.0T sedan.

"The 2.0T motor has room for more hp.  It's pulling 265 hp and 258 lf ft of torque in the TTs.  I can easily see that motor in the new generation A6. "

Actually that's the old motor (EA113) with beefed up internals. I've got one in my TTS which is currently putting out around 320 hp with similar numbers for torque.

One reason I went for the mod is that the new 2.0t engine in this year's TT and the current gen A4 can nearly match the stock TTS engine. It's a pretty good compromise between performance and efficiency. And as mentioned, it is a smooth operator.

You probably haven't driven the new generation 09 & up A4.  Noisy it is not.  It's very smooth and the torque is awesome.  It has new balance shafts, variable valve timing and it's a lot more refined.  If you have driven the new A4 and still don't like it - then you are in the minority.  That's one of the best motors on the market.

The older generation A4 2.0T from 05.5 - 08 was indeed noisy.  The direct injection and 4 cyl was a bit unrefined and clackity at times.

The 2.0T motor has room for more hp.  It's pulling 265 hp and 258 lf ft of torque in the TTs.  I can easily see that motor in the new generation A6.

Audi is reducing weight and going with new platform technology.  The next generation of A5's and A4's might lose 300-500 lbs in weight.
