    HERNDON, Virginia — Audi said its redesigned 2011 A8 sedan will start at $78,925, a significant jump of $3,550 from the 2010 A8, which started at $75,375. The long-wheelbase 2011 A8L climbs even higher, to $84,875, which is an increase of $5,650, or more than 7 percent.

    Audi also is raising prices on the 2011 R8 4.2 Quattro, which goes on sale in late 2010, and on the 2011 TT, which goes on sale in early 2011. The 2011 R8 will start at $115,475, while the 2011 TT will start $39,175. All prices include shipping charges, which also have been raised for 2011.

    The redesigned A8 is being offered in standard and long-wheelbase variants. The A8 and A8L go on sale in the U.S. in late November.

    Audi said the 2011 R8 4.2 Quattro will be joined by the R8 4.2 Quattro Spyder, which is priced starting at $128,925. The 4.2 V8 engine now delivers 430 horsepower, up 10 hp from 2010.

    I had a TT Coupe in 2001 and loved it but sold it prematurely . Just went to dealer and called Audi HQ as well ...and still couldnt get a 2011 TT brochure even though it is nearly November .  You dont see many due to price ,yes ..........and Audi not seeming to help the issue.

    This probably means that they expect the Euro to be more expensive next year ($1.40 - $1.50).

    The only thing that really looks different on the 2011 A8 over the 2010 model is the headlights.  The rest of the shape is very VERY similar.  And I agree with luxurycarlover, $3,550 isn't a difference to people who are shopping in this class.  I'd argue its not even too important to people shopping in the class below it (5 series, A6, e-class).

    @rustyshunt:

    Styling: Definitely took a step back  [Your opinion, but I haven't warmed up to it yet either]
    Power:  Staying below the Lexus, Mercedes & BMW (380, 382, 400HP)  [It is hundreds of pounds lighter with AWD, so it does not need that much power to compete.  Higher MPG to boot]
    Torque: Even a bigger difference [Same as above]
    Trunk:  13 cubic feet?  Are you kidding me?  Ford Focus has more space! [Yes, 13 cubic feet is fine.  Does a ford focus have more interior space?]
    Price:  $10k more than a Lexus LS AWD [Yes, more technology, more money that's with any car including lexus.  Add options and costs will increase with any car.  Audi appears to be offering alot of standard equipment]

    meh if ur in the market for a car like this, 3 grand is not as big of a difference as one might think...definitely worth it

    Wow, this gives more incentive to buy the previous A8 Model as their are still leftovers available. The new A8 is nice, but it no longer has that traditional classic styling that I loved on the previous gen.
