Tuner Special: Avus Audi A5 Matte Black

    0 Ratings
BERLIN — Tuner Avus Performance has blacked out the Audi A5 and upped the power, and named the result "today's Batmobile."

The German tuner's A5 Matte Black gets a reprogrammed ECU to bring output on the 3.0-liter V6 TDI to 275 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Avus modified the suspension with KW adjustable coil-over shocks that lower the vehicle and help the sporty two-door handle the twisties.

Outside, the exterior has been upgraded with a matte-black finish that Avus achieved by wrapping the car with black foil. That means that the original paint color could be brought back by removing the foil.

The rear diffuser, mirrors and front grille have been painted a polished black. The tuner finishes off the package with 21-inch black wheels and red LED taillights from the S5.

Inside Line says: With this blacked-out look, the Batmobile nickname is fitting. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
