The 2010 A5 Cabrio will offer a range of powertrain options, starting with a turbocharged 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder engine that makes 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The front-wheel-drive A5 cabrio 2.0 T features the Multitronic CVT, while the all-wheel-drive Quattro variant gets a six-speed Tiptronic box. Also available will be a 265-hp 3.2-liter FSI V6 rated at 243 lb-ft.
The hardtop A5 coupe 2.0 T for 2010 will be offered only in Quattro guise, with a choice of Tiptronic and manual gearboxes.
The all-wheel-drive 2010 S5 Cabriolet features a supercharged 3.0 TFSI V6 that delivers 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. It will be mated to an S tronic seven-speed double-clutch transmission. Top speed is 155 mph.
The current S5 coupe retains the 354-hp 4.2-liter V8 and a choice of six-speed manual or Tiptronic transmissions through model-year 2010. For 2011, the S5 coupe will switch to the cabrio's supercharged 3.0 TFSI V6 and seven-speed S tronic gearbox.
The A5 and S5 cabrios will make their world debut in March at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
