PARIS — Gameloft, a French video game developer and publisher, has teamed with Audi on a free app called Asphalt Audi RS3 that offers armchair racers the chance to win an Audi A3 Sportback worth $70,000.
The app is free for download now at Apple's App Store. It is a demo based on Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, which is available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
Until March 16, racers can join in a competition where they must race three laps on the Bahamas track. Racers post their scores on Gameloft Live. The player with the fastest lap wins an Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI Quattro. Not included in the contest is a Tokyo track where players can also choose to race.
"What better way to celebrate our partnership with Gameloft than to premiere the Audi RS3 in one of the most iconic racing video game franchises on the market," said Lothar Korn, head of marketing communications at Audi AG.
The Audi RS3 app not only promotes the Audi brand, but also Gameloft's Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, which is the sixth installment of its successful Asphalt series. The game costs $4.99 and offers players new cars, more precise control and a fix of minor bugs.

I don't think the prize A3 is worth $70,000 (even if it had every option).
