    IRVINE, California — The 2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Coupe will start at $181,345 for the base model when it goes on sale in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of this year. The 2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Coupe Carbon Black model will start at $196,345.

    Pricing includes a $3,000 gas-guzzler tax and a $1,350 destination charge. The V12 Vantage will go on sale here in the fourth quarter of 2010, according to Aston Martin.

    In comparison, the 2010 Ferrari California starts at $194,000, including a $2,000 destination charge. The 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo starts at $200,000, including a $2,000 destination charge.

    The 2011 Aston Martin DBS Volante Touchtronic is still the most expensive Aston Martin model sold in the U.S., with a $287,850 price. The cheapest Aston Martin is the 2011 V8 Vantage Coupe Manual, priced at $122,100.

    Aston Martin is pitching the V12 Vantage as the "fastest and most agile Vantage ever." It is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 that churns out 503 horsepower. The V12 Vantage has a top speed of 190 miles per hour and sprints from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 4.2 seconds. It is only available with a six-speed manual transmission.
