GAYDON, England — The limited-edition Aston Martin Cygnet & colette is little more than a Toyota iQ with Parisian pretensions and a whopping $69,329 price tag. It debuted on Thursday and is said to illustrate Aston Martin's "ultimate personalization service."

A base Aston Martin Cygnet starts at $49,500.

The car is a collaboration between the automaker and colette, a high-end Parisian store known for its "incisive fashion," according to Paris.com, as well as its high-tech café that sells 100 brands of mineral water. The New York Times called colette the "coolest store in town" in 2007.

The store is spelled with a lowercase "c" to distinguish it from the French novelist Colette. She is known for her acclaimed portrayal of "Cheri" — one of the first cougars in French literature. Colette was awarded the French Legion of Honour in 1953.

Just 14 units of the Cygnet & colette will be produced.

The cosmetic package includes Lightning Silver exterior paint and a chocolate-brown interior that honors Oscar, the store's canine mascot. The special model also features quilted blue leather pillows in the rear, a key ring, candies, a custom water bottle and the latest colette compilation CDs.

Orders for the car can be placed through the colette store, with delivery expected at the end of 2011.

This had got to be the dumbest car ever.  They should have looked a the Jaguar X-type and how it diluted the brand but they took it WAY to far.  Buyers of this car should just tattoo sucker on their forehead.  I love Aston Martin's normally but this should not have the badge on it.  One is too many let a lone 14.

Nice interior and exterior touches and worthwhile at say, $30K....okay, maybe 40K since it's limited edition.  But at $70K, yea, i don't think so.   It's just a rebadged Toyota for heaven sakes..

    This is a silly joke..

Why wouldn't Aston just make all of its Cygnets this nice inside. I know its a lot but if your buying anything with an Aston name it should be something to brag about... even its... this thing...

I don't understand why anyone would just get a 500 Abarth.  I know it says "Aston Martin" and those are awesome, but for $70,000 I'd buy like 3 500s.

As a HUGE fan of anything Aston... I'm so ashamed that this car wears the badge. EPIC FAIL Aston, EPIC FAIL.
