Description: Ascari's A10 is essentially a racecar. It gets a nod on this list because its carbon-fiber chassis is based on that of its older brother the Ascari KZ1-R, which was a street car. The A10 lacks an audio system and any other interior amenities. But it's fast. Goodness, is it ever fast. Its 4.5:1 power-to-weight ratio ranks it among the best in the world in that measure.

The Gumpert Apollo is second on the Top Gear board, but the Ascari was on top for two or three seasons. And that v8 lifted from an old M5 is loud!

I think this is the second fastest (before the Veyron Supersports) car on the TG board, behind the Gumpert. Must be amazing to drive one ...
