GOODWOOD, England — Italian marques — and drivers — will be celebrated at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with the theme "Viva Veloce! The Passion for Speed." Dates for next year's event are July 2-4.
The 2010 Festival will focus on Alfa Romeo's 100th birthday but will also fete such marques as Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia and MV Agusta, such drivers as Ascari, Nuvolari and Varzi and such storied events as the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio.
A parallel theme for 2010 is the 60th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, as well as the 60th anniversary of the Carrera Panamericana road race and the 50th anniversary of the RAC Rally.
