    Just the Facts:

    • Other popular Alfas include the Duetto and Giulietta.

LONDON — British Alfisti were asked to help celebrate the marque's centennial by voting for their favorite Alfa Romeo of all time. Surely many lively debates were had, both among fellow fans and inside the voters' own heads, on the way to naming the winner: the Giulia 1750 GTA, taking 21.6 percent of the votes cast on the Alfa Centenary Web site.

The Giulia GTAm was the winner of the 1970 European Touring Car Championship, driven by Toine Hezemans of the Netherlands. The Giulia 1750 GTAm was closely followed by the 2nd-place finisher, an Alfa of more recent vintage: the 2008 8C Competizione, which took 19.8 percent of the votes.

In 3rd place was the Alfa Duetto, and rounding out the top five slots were the Alfa Giulietta and the Alfa Sud.

The Web site, created by Alfa Romeo, also boasts a fascinating gallery of Alfa images sent in by the public.

I understand the 1750 being first, but the lack of Montreal and 33 Stradale is disturbing.
