TURIN, Italy — Instead of rolling out brand-new models at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, Alfa Romeo will unveil a limited-edition version of the 147.

Created in collaboration with stylist Ennio Capasa, the 147 C'N'C CoSTUME NATIONAL is being produced in a run of 1,000 cars that are said to be inspired by the worlds of music, multimedia and street culture.

The 147 C'N'C CoSTUME NATIONAL is painted Eldorado white with a mother-of-pearl effect, adding such details as chrome-plated exhaust, gloss-black mirror housings, darkened taillamps and painted, sparkle-effect 17-inch wheels.

Inside, seats are upholstered in leather and perforated Alcantara, with black varnished ceiling and trim. The instrumentation is white on red. The carpeted floor mats feature aluminum high-heel strips.

The display model is a 147 five-door fitted with a 1.9-liter JTDM turbodiesel that makes 150 horsepower. Electronic stability control, traction control, antilock brakes and six airbags are standard.

What this means to you: High-heel strips? Now that's Italian.
