The ZDX has a 3.7-liter all-aluminum V6 that makes 300 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) system is standard.
Notable design features of Acura's ZDX are a panoramic glass roof with movable sunshades, hidden rear door handles and a set of 19-inch, seven-spoke alloy wheels. The interior has a hand-stitched leather dash, panels and center console and can seat five. Electronic gadgetry includes Bluetooth capability, AM/FM/XM radio with iPod connectivity and a power tailgate. A navigation system with voice recognition is optional, as are adaptive cruise control and a collision-mitigating braking system.
Acura has not announced pricing but says the ZDX will be priced between the MDX, which currently starts at $40,990, and the RL, which starts at $46,680.
