- The 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon will debut via Webcast at the N.Y. auto show.
- The unveil will take place on March 31 at 3:35 p.m. ET.
- Acura's new wagon is already on sale in other markets as the Accord Touring.
TORRANCE, California — The wraps will come off the 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon via Webcast at 3:35 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, March 31, at the 2010 New York Auto Show.
The Webcast can be seen on a dedicated Web site Acura said it will conduct a live Q&A session on Twitter with Vicki Poponi, assistant vice president of product planning, at 4:30 p.m. following the press conference.
Acura said last fall it will add a sport wagon — a.k.a. station wagon — to the TSX sedan lineup in late fall 2010. The vehicle is already on sale in other markets as the Accord Touring.
Expect the TSX Sport Wagon to have the same specs as the current sedan. The current sedan offers two powertrain choices: a 201-horsepower 2.4-liter DOHC inline-4 and a 280-hp 3.5-liter V6. The sedan gets two transmission choices: a standard six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic.
Acura has not yet released any images of the TSX Sport Wagon.

If the TSX wagon comes with SH-AWD and a 6-speed manual, I will drop all my plans to go with a 2011 Subaru STI and go with the Acura. I am however not holding my breath on either the SH-AWD or 6-speed either !
I bet they will release this with front-wheel-drive (without even a helical LSD like with the Civic SI) and the Torque-converter equipped Automatic, and call it a day.......even though I would be glad to be proven wrong on this.

kevin118 hits it right on the mark!!! I wouldn't buy an Acura is you paid me either. That ugly, wide chrome strip on the grill ruins the look of the Acura. It works OK on the TL but looks ridiculous on the RL and TSX. And yes, bringing back the Integra, Legend, and maybe even the Vigor names would certainly liven things up. Never really took to the two letter naming.
With that said, the TSX wagon is a great idea but they had BETTER offer a 6-speed manual transmission...although I would bet that it will be left off the list of features since its America and most companies seem to water down their lineups for us for whatever reason.

VW Jetta Sport Wagen TDI, comes both with auto and manual trans. excellent fuel ecomomy, enormous cargo space (exceeding many CUV/SUVs), handles and rides well (in a typical German fasion), accelerates better, and you get all this and more for much, much less coin.

The question here is, what is the sport quotient of the car with 200hp 4 cylinder engine, 3500+lbs weigth and 5-speed auto trans.? In this so called "Sport Wagon"

If the station wagons are back....
..... I wish they could bring back the Dodge Magnum SRT-8 ...... that was a "Sport Wagon".

I am very encouraged that Acura will soon offer the TSX Sport Wagon. Kudos to Acura for listening!
Questions:
1.) When will the Sport Wagon be available with a 6-speed overdrive manual transmission to lower hwy RPMs for better MPG and reduced engine noise?
2.) Will it have have multi-way adjustable front seats for both front passengers. One's spouse should be also be comfortable especially on long trips.
3.) Heated front seats?
4.) Weight?
5.) Coefficient of drag (Cd)?
6.) Tire brand, model, & size?
7.) Full-size spare tire, compact spare, or run flat tires?
8.) Will the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon address the refinements Consumer Reports suggested for the 2010 TSX sedan such as "vague steering" "busy" ride and road noise, April 2010 issue page 29 & 39?
Suggestions:
1.) Offer the sunroof as a stand alone option. A sunroof increases cost, adds weight, and raises the center of gravity.
2.) Since the TSX wagon is being marketed as a Sport Wagon, offer a limited-slip differential (LSD) like the Honda Civic Si, Mazdaspeed3, and Mini Cooper & Clubman. A LSD provides the best possible FWD traction without the AWD fuel economy penalty all year long.
Thanks again to Acura for listening!

if i had to get an acura now, I'm pretty sure I'd have to do the JDM thing and get the honda grill. it just works a lot better
I like the idea of a TSX wagon though

They displayed it, they're a litte slow to update I guess. Only available with 4 cylinder and automatic configuration. Combine the current TSX and the wagon pictured above. No suprises besides lack of manual transmission option. No price released.

So....March 31st at 3:35pm EST, huh? Guess it must have been a show-stopper seeing as either you didn't even bother to post what came of it or Acura didn't unveil it.

I agree, car companies are only betting their wagons in the premium segments.
I mean, appart from Hyundai and maybe Volkswagen, what other station wagon is there in the market today that you can get for under 25K ?
